Small Groups
Small, home life groups have become a key way for our members worship and fellowship with one another. Instead of traditional Sunday evening services, we meet in small groups in members homes, at the church fellowship hall, and even at restaurants. The decision of when and where to meet is made by each individual small group.
Many of the groups take on special projects such as house painting, church picnics, or providing a worship service at assisted living centers.

All members are encouraged to participate in a small group of their choice. At this point in time there are eight small groups. You are invited to try out any of the groups and determine which one best suits your needs or to start your own group. The present small groups are described below.
Current Small Groups
(Want to start your own group? We will help. Just talk with Randy Elliot)
The Fairly Odd Parents: The name speaks for itself! (An alternate working name for the group is also “The Old Parents of Young Kids!”) This group meets at the Goodwin’s home in La Habra, usually once a month, on the 2nd Sunday of each month from 4pm to 6pm for families with young children. Our goal is to be family friendly, so mom’s, dad’s, and kiddo’s are welcome! Contact: Michelle Goodwin.
The Parent Trap: This is a small group for parents and families of Jr. High and High School students. These parents have been caught in the trap for a long time now! This group meets at the Hanson’s home in Fullerton, usually on the 3rd Sunday of the month directly following Sunday services. Teens and their families share lunch together and plot ways to escape family entrapment. If you’re the parent of a teenager, or a teenager yourself, you know exactly what we’re talking about!! Contact: Dawn Hanson
Collide: College and Young Adult small group Bible study meets Tuesday Nights from 7pm to 9pm at the Goodwin’s home in La Habra. See the College Ministry page for more information or contact Janine Diaz.
The P-Kic’s: This is a group for “Parents with Kids in College.” (It’s better than POCKS: Parents of College Kids) They meet in the Fellowship hall at the church building at 6:00 pm on the 2nd and 4th Sundays. This group also holds a service at the Sunrise Assisted Living Center on the 5th Sunday of the month (when they occur). Contact: Lori Diaz.
The Gabalots: This small group of adults meets at 1:30 pm on the 2nd Sunday to sing at the Seasons of La Habra and meets at 5:00 pm on the 3rd and 4th Sundays at the Hall home in La Habra or the Beck home in Placentia to share a meal together and…well…gab a lot. Contact: Sheri Hall.
The Dee-Dah’s: This group of adults meets on the 3rd and 4th Sundays at a members home at 5:00 pm and typically has a dinner together and then a short Christian life study. They also engage in various service projects for the church and surrounding community. They host services at the Sunrise Assisted Living Center on the 2nd Sunday of the month. Contact: Suzy Lents.
The Sunny Seniors: This group of adults meets on the 2nd and 3rd Sundays at the church building in Fullerton at 5:00 pm for a traditional Bible lesson. They also host services at the Sunrise Assisted Living facility at 1:30pm on the 4th Sunday of the month. Contact: Mary Scroggins.
