P.G.M.B. Club
PGMB is an educational program for 1st through 6th grade children. The PGMB curriculum promotes a total learning experience for children. It uses their minds, their bodies, their voices, their energy and their enthusiasm to praise God.
There are 24 lessons in each unit and the students are assigned one lesson per week and tested on their homework the following week. During class we use repetition as the fundamental tool for learning. Each exercise in repetition is a different game or activity, using competition, rewards, fun and team spirit to generate excitement and anchor knowledge.
PGMB is noisy. Most kids love noise, they love to make it and want to be in the middle of it. In PGMB, we use kid’s natural affinity to be noisy as building blocks for effective learning. When kids are having fun, they’re going to be noisy. If you can keep their attention on learning as they talk and have fun, then learning goes down like sugar…they just love it!
We have tried to take the demand out of learning and replace it with desire. We want children’s PGMB experience to be one they themselves want, not necessarily just what their parents want for them. Parents don’t need to push their children into the program or remind them to study their homework once they are in it. Kids want to do their homework because knowing the answers is the currency used to play the PGMB games. If they don’t know the answers, they can’t help their team win points and they don’t get as much fun out of it.
We believe the key to education is what the student does after the teacher has taught. In PGMB the kids take their books home and work on their assignments. After they have learned them, they take their books to their parents and ask to be tested. PGMB works because kids do their homework and come prepared to work in class.
Our goal is to write God’s Word on their hearts and have fun doing it.
